Far More Whites Killed by US Police

Far more white people than blacks are killed by police in America, both proportionally to their population sizes and in real numbers, completely contrary to the anti-white propaganda put out by the “Black Lives Matter” campaign and its allies.

US-police

According to statistics maintained by the far-left extremist Guardian newspaper in Britain, more than half of all people killed by US police this year have been white, while only 25 percent have been black.

The Guardian’s statistics are contained in a tally of police killings maintained by that newspaper on a site titled “The Counted.” This was set up by the far-leftist newspaper with the intention of “proving” how “racist” the police in America are—an aim which has now completely backfired in face of the facts.

According to the Guardian’s tally, of the approximately 1001 people killed by police this year in America, 502 were white, 250 were black, 163 were Hispanic/Latino, 18 were Asian/Pacific Islander, 13 were American Indian, and 54 were other/unknown.

The Counted

Not only do these figures show that, in real numbers, more whites are killed by police than blacks, but, when contrasted in proportion to the crime rates of each group, whites are in fact far more likely to be killed by police than any other race, especially when it comes to violent criminal offenses.

For example, according to the US Department of Justice (“Homicide Trends in the United States, 1980–2008“), blacks accounted for 52.5 percent of homicide offenders from 1980 to 2008, with whites 45.3 percent and “other” 2.2 percent.

These figures infamously added all Hispanic crimes into the “white” category, and once this distortion is stripped out, it is estimated that around 90 percent of all violent crimes in America are committed by nonwhites.

According to the National Crime Victimization Survey in 2002 (United States Department of Justice. Office of Justice Programs. Bureau of Justice Statistics. “National Crime Victimization Survey: Unbounded Data, 2002“), the black arrest rate for robbery was 8.55 times higher than whites, and blacks were 16 times more likely to be incarcerated for robbery than non-Hispanic whites. Robberies with white victims and black offenders were more than 12 times more common than the reverse.

A 2004 National Crime Victimization Survey (Bureau of Justice Statistics, Crime Data Brief, Carjacking, 1993–2003) report which analyzed carjacking over 10 years found that carjacking victims identified 56 percent of offenders as black, 21 percent as white, and 16 percent as Native American or Asian.

These statistics all clearly show that nonwhites in general—and blacks in particular—commit both in real terms and proportionally—far more crime than do whites.

It is therefore logical that they will feature far more than whites in any negative interactions with the police—yet, despite this, a larger number of whites are killed by the police than any other racial group.

The propaganda surrounding the “Black Lives Matter” campaign is therefore, based on lies, and an underlying anti-white racism—and nothing else.

    1. I’m from the UK and guardian newspaper is NOT a “far right” paper, it’s a left wing news paper.

      1. Did the article get changed. It presently says “far-leftist newspaper”. The Guardian certainly appears to me, from reading it, to be left-oriented, but then many news outlets lean that way. CNN, NYT, WaPo, McClatchy, PBS, CNBC, all three TV prime times (ABC, NBC, CBS). They are easily demonstrated to have some bias toward the left.

    1. No they mentioned in the very first paragraph it was both in proportion to the population of that race and in general. You MIGHT want to try reading a few sentences.

      1. No. 502/1000 is lower than the proportion of white people in the population. Black people have a per-capita rate twice their population ratio, although it’s perfectly justifiable given the high crime rate of their neighborhoods, number of guns on their streets, assaults against cops, etc.

      2. Population does not apply here. Negative ineractions with police do. Whites committed 10 percent of violent crimes but made up 50 percent of police shootings.

      3. Actually they didn’t. They based their proportion on crimes rates and not general population.

Their is a degree of fallacy in that logic. It ignores the possibility that blacks maybe targeted more aggressively to receive higher crime rates.

        1. This exact contention has been studied quite avidly by those seeking to make this same point. No such phenomenon has been able to be demonstrated. Certainly isolated instances have been found, but we are talking about macro statistics here, the actual action over many instances. The studies appear to show that greater reluctance to shoot occurs when apprehending blacks. Some evidence exists that this is made up for by greater need to physically restrain in case of arrests of blacks. No disparity has been demonstrated to exist in terms of insufficiently pursuing whites in commission of crime, and excessively pursuing blacks. This is true despite the comments of various pundits and politicians. They tend to seek contention, and often benefit from stirring up unrest as we now are seeing.

          1. @Monk: you actually believe black people just get killed for being black? What, black people don’t ever commit crimes? 13% of the population commits 50% of all homicides and all other violent crimes are pretty much proportionally the same. So in actuality you have it backwards.

          2. If by being black you mean being a violent criminal than you’re right! Just keep ignoring that back people are more likely to be criminals.

        1. It means, that if there is ANY INTERACTION with the police, even a traffic stop, if you are white you stand over 2:1 more odds of dying than any other ethnicity. And that is with our without probable cause.

      3. This whole thing confuses me that cops, government, ppl in general are surprised that these kinds of things are going on? When in reality they’ve groomed certain people in certain areas to become the criminals that they are, then kill or punish them for being what they helped create. You can’t first make a criminal then kill or throw them in jail for acting like one. The government and the people that can and want to help can change these things at the very core root of the problem. Before it gets to this point. We’re all Son’s/ Daughter’s Mother’s/Father’s etc to somebody
All meaningless killings need to stop and we can do something to help instead of just talking about it on social media. EVERY LIFE MATTERS.

  2. Ever notice that police unions are “fraternal”? This should tell you something. The “thin-blue-line” is a gang, little different than street gangs–at least when it comes to “covering-up” questionable behavior by police.
In today’s day and age, “officer safety” trumps de-escalation of force. This, in part, is due to the militarization of the police along with training in Israeli police tactics. This becomes a problem, with the “us vs. them” attitude that is fosters, along with the fact that Israel is a very different place, being on a constant “war footing”, and by necessity, its police tactics are very different.
There are too many instances of police being “given a pass”, even when incontrovertible video and audio evidence is presented. Grand juries, guided by police-friendly prosecutors, quite often refuse to charge those police officers who abuse their authority.
Police officers, who want to do the right thing, are quite often marginalized and put into harms way, by their own brethren…When a police officer is beating on someone that is already restrained while yelling, “stop resisting” THAT is but one reason police have a “bad name” in many instances…
Here are changes that can help reduce the police-induced violence:
    1. Eliminate both “absolute” and “qualified” immunity for all public officials. The threat of being sued personally would encourage them to behave themselves.
    2. Any public funds disbursed to citizens as a result of police misconduct should come out of their pension funds–NOT from the taxpayers.
    3. Regular drug-testing of police officers as well as incident-based drug testing should take place whenever an officer is involved in a violent situation with a citizen–no exceptions.
    4. Testing for steroid use should be a part of the drug testing program. You know damn well, many police officers “bulk up” with the “help” of steroids. Steroids also affect users mentally as well, making them more aggressive. The potential for abuse of citizens increases greatly with steroid use.
    5. Internal affairs should only be used for disagreements between individual officers–NOT for investigations involving citizen abuse. State-level investigations should be mandatory for all suspected abuses involving citizens.
    6. Prosecutors should be charged with malfeasance IF any evidence implicating police officer misconduct is not presented to the grand jury.
    7. A national or state-by-state database of abusive individuals who should NEVER be allowed to perform police work should be established–a “blacklist” of abusive (former) police officers.
    8. Get rid of police unions. Police unions (fraternities) protect the guilty, and are responsible for the massive whitewashing of questionable police behavior that is presently being committed.
    9. Most people are unaware that police have special “rules” that prohibit them from being questioned for 48 hours. This allows them to “get their stories straight” and makes it easier to “cover up” bad police behavior. Police must be subject to the same laws as civilians.
    10. All police should be required to wear bodycams and utilize dashcams that cannot be turned off. Any police officers who causes a dash or body cam to be turned off should be summarily fired–no excuses. Today’s body and dash cams are reliable enough to withstand harsh treatment. Body and dashcam footage should be uploaded to a public channel “on the cloud” for public perusal.
    11. All interrogations must be video and audio recorded. Police should be prohibited from lying or fabricating stories in order to get suspects to confess. False confessions ARE a problem in many departments. Unknown to most people, police can lie with impunity while civilians can be charged with lying to police…fair? I think not…
    12. Any legislation passed that restricts the rights of ordinary citizens, such as firearms magazine capacity limits, types of weapons allowed, or restrictive concealed-carry laws should apply equally to police. No special exemptions to be given to police. Laws must be equally applied.
Police work is not inherently dangerous…there are many other professions that are much more dangerous.
A little “Andy Taylor” could go a long way in allaying fears that citizens have of police.
That being said, I have no problem with police officers who do their job in a fair, conscientious manner…however, it is time to call to task those police officers who only “protect and serve” themselves

I happen to believe that cops are like the president. See for every state town tom dick and harry that have a police office they are the president of that community and they do what they want throw whoever they want in jail for what most of the time nothing. When the police are called to an incident or something i thought that they had to talk and listen to both parties and decide from there HELL NO that is not how it goes if the cops are called if they dont like one of the parties involved well you are pretty much screwed cause they wont think twice about putting your ass in jail even if you did nothing wrong at all still im pretty sure it is CORRUPTION

    2. The thin blue line is the support of all officers, and family members they are not a gang. They don’t wait 48 hours to question them. They don’t release the body camera video until they are done with the investigation. What is wrong with being in a union? Many companies have them. I agree with Lewis, do your research before spouting crap. You don’t even know what the thin blue line is. It’s not a fraternity as you say or a club. It means a show of support for police, acknowledging the role they play I society. They already have drug testing. Learn your facts before posting ignorant statements.

      1. Learn what an “analogy” or “metaphor” is before YOU spout off Jill. He didn’t say “fraternity,” he said they were “fraternal,” meaning a brotherhood. A brotherhood who has time and again usurped the power, rights and will of the citizenry they purport to protect, to protect the “bad apples” with the very definition of impunity. And he also accurately described this and other behaviors exhibited as indistinguishable from a “gang,” now words may only mean one thing where you were taught but learned people use the whole array and spectrum and shades of meanings for certain words – he’s not saying they’re the Bloods, The Crips, and the Blues – he means they have framed justice in America as an us-them proposition, and all egregious acts committed in service of this ideal, this fraternal order, this legally-sanctioned armed GANG, are perpetrated by the self-styled “untouchables.” When people say “the blue line,” people who don’t just nod, obey, and follow (i.e, you) read it as the blue line between civilians who are wronged and punishments for any officer who breaks the law, beats or murders, plants evidence, et al, all with ZERO repercussions, suspensions, dismissals or ANY tangible consequences for their actions.

    3. Have you tried deescalating an individual shooting at you? Perhaps of grabbing a firearm with every intent on killing you? I implore you to try. When an individual sees no other option from going back to jail other than to kill you, they will. Hence, what happened to the Jefferson Parish Deputy ( Caucasian) shot and killed by a 19 y/o black male. Why? Because a routine stop led to the kid carrying a firearm after conviction. He simply did not want to go back to jail. That being said, did you see police and white people rioting with movements of #whitelivesmatter or perhaps #policelivesmatter? No, we accepted the fact that tragedies come with the job. We acted civilized. We let justice take it’s course. All this rioting and race bating bs; what good is it doing? None. It is only creating contention and causing good officers to be killed who are hundreds, if not thousands, of miles away from where the incident occured. This has nothing to do with white, black, Asian, or any other ethnic group. It has to do with acting civilized. We are probably the last worldly power and we are crumbling from within. We are destroying ourselves. We are the laughing stock of the world. We are becoming terrorists ourselves. We are better than this. We have to unite. Until then there will be no solution. Insteas of #blacklives matter; how about we all join hands and xhange it to: #unitedwestand #changeweshallmake? Much better no?

      1. A person who aims a firearm at a cop DESERVES to get shot…no problem with that, at all…However, a person with a knife, stick or club can be easily disarmed without resorting to lethal force. A good example of police misconduct in New Mexico (that the cops got away with) was a homeless man on a hill, about 100 yards away from the cops. A cop took a rifle and shot the man, even though he was a distance away, and the cops were in no danger of being harmed.
I support cops who do not abuse their authority. Training should include martial arts, and other non-lethal forms of restraining suspects…

  3. The “thin blue line” protects the bad cops. My relatives who are cops cannot understand my dislike for many “practices” that they consider “normal”. Attempts to engage them in Constitutional principles are met with deaf ears. THE LAW IS WHATEVER THEY SAY THE LAW IS.
Their unwavering allegiance to those (bad) cops who exhibit “abnormal” life-threatening behavior (to us mundanes) and their “making excuses” for such aberrant behavior is sickening.
You see, all police officers’ ultimate goal is to make it to retirement with as little friction as possible. In many departments, it is possible to retire after 30 years AND to start collecting Social Security at age 55–NOT 66 like the rest of us. In addition, disability claims (too many career lifetime donuts) quite often enable them to live a much more comfortable life than most of us taxpayers who provide these “centurions” with their comfortable lifestyle.
Police work is not inherently dangerous IF they follow Constitutional principles.
The militarization of police forces is another big problem. Police departments routinely recruit former military and do very little to change the “us vs. them” mindset that is a staple of military (combat) service.
In fact, most department actually admire their “special” status and encourage such behavior with “no-knock” midnight SWAT raids and other unconstitutional behavior.
A small point (but valid, nevertheless) is that EVEN THE NAZIS KNOCKED ON THE DOOR BEFORE GAINING ENTRY.

    1. Police risk their lives everyday, by dealing with a high proportion of the criminal population. They are also killed at large rates. Their is corruption and some cops are negligent or even racist and should be punished accordingly(which they are). But they also keep our streets safe and maintain law and order, if you have a better solution for dealing with violent individuals, I’m all ears…the problem is, cops deal with scum bags most of the time so generally have a very low opinion of the general public, so don’t piss them off, don’t swear at them and don’t get aggressive. 99% of all these ‘police brutalitiesare’ are just idiots getting aggressive at cops who then overreact and shoot. Justified at the time, but perhaps seen as unnecessary in hindsight, but the cops get the benefit of the doubt. Moral of the story, if you pretend to have a gun, resist arrest or make yourself look threatening, you will probably get shot and you dam well deserve it. You have a right to bear arms, but that comes with a responsibility to declare the firearm and make it dam clear that your not going to shoot back! Micheal brown was a poor mislead youth, taught to hate and disrespect cops, he tried to take a cop on and got shot, nothing special, yet all these low IQ safe space loonies claim police brutality. No, just another idiot attacking a cop and getting what he deserves

      1. I agree police do risk their lives and so does everyone else, in this day in age we all need to value our lives better. I’m not sure where you got your facts from to state that police are killed in large rates, but last year 42 police officers loss their live for protecting and serving maintaining the law and order you mentioned, and 1,186 people were killed by police a much more higher number. No job dealing with the public is easy ….everyday ordinary good people and bad people deal with situations and they don’t retaliate with violent and death. Also your advice on dealing with police and saying you’re not going to shoot back is not a smart choice of words gun and shoot in any sentence with an officer together is no go! And yes while 50 states allow concealed weapons and 31 allow open weapons these officers know this as well and should be trained better as well as the public that wants to carry fire arm..that is the solution proper training for all parties especially those carrying police officers and the public and better psychological testing on handling situations . A young man loss his live at 18yrs. old children make mistakes because their brains are not fully developed, and to bring up a persons past that you do not know just based on the media is wrong , yes he could have been a mislead youth as you stated and no way should it be right to kill someone or take a life for a pack of cigarettes . If the officer felt so threatened maybe he should’ve stayed in his car and called for backup …. it was cigarettes not armed robbery. Getting what anyone deserves is life and a fair trail and justice. If you took the time to know that the system in not build for rehabilitation but for stagnancy and prisons and that is a big problem of why we have problems. Over crowded prisons or more prisons being built with people that should not be locked away and family are messed up. Last year 59 officers were charged with killings and 11 were only convicted to jail..is that justice? Maybe we could get the numbers lowered for us too, to restore families. Proper training for police will help, I know a lot of great cops.. its the idiot officers that need to be discussed to get help.. not every person is an idiot attacking officers… google that

        1. Jenn….Did you really just say, and I quote specifically, “A young man, loss his live at 18 yrs old children make mistakes b/c their brains are not fully developed….,” Ummm….Really?! Correct me if I’m wrong, but the last time I checked an 18 year old was no longer considered a “Child” as you say….They are considered an adult….Legally able to buy their own home, legally able to fight for our country, legally able to buy cigarettes, legally able to go to the doctor without parental consent, legally able to vote, and the list goes on….As for the scenario you speak about above regarding Michael Brown….do you even know the chain of events?! First of all, he was violent with the store clerk by shoving him and taking what he wanted right off the bat….A clear regarding as above the law, screw you, I’ll do what I want type of mentality….When the officer got the call, he came, saw the two young thieves walking, so he blocked them….(You mention, “If the officer felt so threatened maybe he should’ve stayed in his care and called for backup….) Well, while the officer was IN HIS CAR, an altercation developed through the WINDOW of the OFFICER’S CAR with both Michael and the officer fighting for the officer’s gun….It wasn’t until the gun fired that Michael decided to run off….As expected, at this point, the 18 year old adult….not child….ran and the officer pursued….Michael stopped, turned around and rushed the officer….The officer had already had an encounter with him in which he was reaching for his gun….(and why do you think Michael reached for the officer’s gun….to throw it on the ground and beat that cop….HELL NO….), the officer told Michael to stop, and he continued to resist and was non compliant….Threatened and probably a little scared, the officer fired….and with all due respect….You have NO idea how you would react if you were in that officer’s place….You are right in the fact that there are idiot officers, but regardless, they are officers, and if they say put your hands behind your back for whatever reason….I’d do it….b/c in the end, when it’s all said and done, it will be in my favor….Let’s not all forget that resisting arrest is in fact a crime, so is assaulting an officer of the law….no matter the form for fashion….I have an uncle that is a criminal court judge, and when he was the DA he had a case in which the suspect ran across the court room and proceeded to spit on my uncle….He received an additional couple of years to his jail time just for that….When you intend to harm any law official, you should think twice….there are consequences to every action….

          1. I don’t know where you get your numbers, but there were 130 officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2015, You like to compare apples to oranges. You say everyday people deal with good and bad people deal with situations but they dont’ retaliate with violent, your word not mine, should have been violence and death. Hate to tell you but you are way wrong there were over 16,000 homicides reported last year. You say getting a fair trial is what everyone wants, yet complain when an officer is found not guilty in a fair trial. How many trials were there for other people who were charged and found not guilty. It’s the judicial system in this country. If you don’t like it come up with something better and quit whining that enough cops aren’t thrown in prison when defending themselves. The cops in this country deal with some of the worst of people there are. What do you propose? You call for better training. The police in this country are the best trained in the world, just because you don’t like some of the outcomes when an individual attacks an officer and winds up on the losing end, does not mean they need more training. Try living life in their shoes, or better yet if you can do it better apply for a police department, go through an academy and show us how it should be done. Typical, you live under the very freedom and safety the police provide you, yet criticize the way in which it is accomplished. Why don’t you try providing some of that security and freedom before acting all holier than thou.

When was the last time a knife wound didn’t bleed immediately after being inflicted? In close proximity a knife attack can be more deadly than a target with a firearm by a high percentage.

  7. There are a few things the BLM crew as well as the liberal media ignore. If anyone whispers a word they are immediately called an Uncle Tom, a ‘negropean’, or just plain racist. It is a bitter pill for some but, here it is…

The media is also to blame for inciting much of the “blaming” when it comes to the spike in violence. I found these statistics pretty eye opening…

University of Toledo criminologist Dr. Richard R. Johnson examined the latest crime data from the FBI’s Supplementary Homicide Reports and Centers for Disease Control and found that an average of 4,472 black men were killed by other black men annually between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2012.
Professor Johnson’s research further concluded that 112 black men died from both justified and unjustified police-involved killings annually during this same period.

The only disparity out there is, whites are killed more often and have more run ins with cops than black people do. On average, 4,472 black men were killed by other black men annually between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2012, according to the FBI’s Supplementary Homicide Reports. Using FBI and CDC statistics, Professor Johnson calculates that 112 black men, on average, suffered both justified and unjustified police-involved deaths annually during this period.
This equals 2.5 percent of these 4,472 yearly deaths. For every black man — criminal or innocent — killed by a cop, 40 black men were murdered by other black men. The, at most, 2.5 percent of the problem generates relentless rage. And, yet, it is rude-to-racist to mention 97.5 percent of the problem.

FACT 1. Over 1,400 more black Americans murdered other blacks in two years than were lynched from 1882 to 1968.
According to FBI data, 4,906 black people murdered other blacks in 2010 and 2011. That is 1,460 more black Americans killed by other blacks in two years than were lynched from 1882 to 1968, according to the Tuskegee Institute.

FACT 2. Black People (mostly men) commit a grossly disproportionate amount of crime.
In 2012, white males were 38 percent of the population and committed 4,582 murders. That same year, black males were just 6.6 percent of the population but committed a staggering 5,531 murders.
In other words: black people–at just a fifth of the size–committed almost 1,000 more murders than their white counterparts.
The figures above highlight a horrific truth that black racialists and white liberals routinely ignore: Lawbreaking black Americans, young black males particularly, put themselves in close proximity to (mostly white male) police officers at rates sometimes five to 10 times higher than whites. This is a recipe for disaster. Thusly….

FACT 3. Despite making up just 13% of the population, blacks committed half of homicides in the United States for nearly 30 years.
DOJ statistics show that between 1980 and 2008, black people committed 52% of homicides.
In 2013, black criminals committed 38% of the murders. Whites accounted for 31 percent.
There are five times fewer black people than white people in America and, yet, they consistently carry out a larger share of the crimes. Given this rate, it’s no wonder that there aren’t more instances where cops kill black criminals.

FACT 4. Chicago’s death toll is almost equal to that of both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, combined.
There have been almost as many deaths in one American city as there have been in the two major wars carried out by the U.S. military this century.
Chicago’s death toll from 2001–November, 26 2015 stands at 7,401. The combined total deaths during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2015: 4,815) and Operation Enduring Freedom/Afghanistan (2001-2015: 3,506), total 8,321.
FACT 5. It would take cops 40 years to kill as many black men as have died at the hands of others black men in 2012 alone.

As for a more recent accounting, in 2015, the stats were as follows:
990 people were shot by cops last year.
748 of those were while an attack was in progress.
    216 were other factors.
    44 were undetermined.
Of the 990, 948 were male. 42 were female.
    494 were white.
    258 were black.
    172 were Hispanic.
    66 were other races.
782 of the 990 had a deadly weapon on them.
    54 used a vehicle as a weapon.
    34 had a toy weapon.

  8. The main issue with these results they dont show what % of blacks killed were non-offenders and the whites were actually guilty of a crime.
