The staggering racial hypocrisy of Barack Obama and the present-day leftist establishment was once again on display over the past weekend in Washington DC at the “US-Africa Summit” hosted in America’s capital city.
Fifty African heads of state arrived in Washington DC to take part in what the Obama administration said was “the largest event any US President has held with African heads of state and government, built on the President’s trip to Africa in the summer of 2013 and aimed to strengthen ties between the United States and one of the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing regions.”
Of course, Africa is anything but “fast-growing”—unless one includes infectious diseases—but this was not the true farce and staggering racial hypocrisy of the weekend.
Imagine, for a second, Obama hosting a leader from any European nation who threatened to “cut off the heads” of homosexuals.
Imagine, for a second, Obama hosting a leader from any European nation who had shot or jailed every political opponent, and who had “won” every election in his country since 1979—after coming to power in a coup against his own uncle.
Imagine, for a second, Obama hosting a leader from any European nation who had personally stashed the cash income from his country’s oil wealth in his back pocket, so that he was now worth $600 million, while his countrymen live on $2 per day?
Imagine, for a second, Obama hosting a leader from any European nation who had come to power in a bloody coup twenty-seven years ago—a coup in which his predecessor was shot dead?
Of course, there is no chance that any such (mythical) European would be welcomed at the White House by Obama. Instead, they would be shunned, attacked—verbally and even physically—by the US Government.
But somehow, when it comes to Africans, the Obama administration seems to overlook the ghastly and bloodthirsty catalog of crimes committed by these “statesmen.”
For example, Equatorial Guinea’s “president” Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, welcomed at the White House, has literally shot almost all his opponents. There is no freedom of the press, the country’s one television station is government-run, and clean water is scarce.
“President” Obiang is also Africa’s longest serving dictator after seizing power from his uncle and mentor (who used to hang regime critics from the capital’s street lights) in 1979. Since then he has won the yearly elections with 99 percent of the vote. Equatorial Guinea is one of sub-Saharan Africa’s biggest oil-producing countries—and Obiang has made sure it goes into his back pocket.
In 2001, a fleet of 11 supercars, which included two Bugatti Veyrons, was seized by French authorities during a 2011 investigation over the alleged theft of public funds in the African nation. The cars originally belonged to Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, the son of “President” Obiang.
The cars were seized at the “President’s” 101-room mansion near the Champs Elysees in Paris and included the aforementioned Bugattis as well as a Ferrari Enzo, a Maserati MC12, a Porsche Carrera GT, a Ferrari 599 GTO, a Rolls-Royce, a Maybach, an Aston Martin and a pair of Bentleys.
That year, US Justice Department lawyers tried to prosecute the “president’s” son for corruption and money laundering, including a $30 million dollar mansion in Malibu, California, a $38.5 million Gulfstream jet, and one of the world’s finest Michael Jackson memorabilia collections including the red and black ‘Thriller jacket’ and Jackson’s crystal-studded ‘Bad Tour’ glove worth more than $2m.
Another “honored guest” was Burkina Faso’s Blaise Compaore. This “president” also came to power in a bloody 1987 coup which left his predecessor Thomas Sankara dead. Sankara had taken power alongside Compaore in another coup four years previously.
Yet another “honored guest” at the summit was Cameroon “president” Paul Biya, who came to power in 1983, and at the “presidential election” held in January 1984, was the only candidate and won an amazing 99.98 percent of the vote. (It was never revealed who the remaining 0.02% of the “voters” had voted for, seeing as there was no other name on the “ballot paper.”)
Another “honored guest” was the “president” of Gambia, Yahya Jammeh, who also attended the Summit, and was greeted personally by Obama.
“President” Jammeh took power in a military coup in 1994, and in the intervening decades has maintained power by violence.
In 2008, he threatened to “cut off the head” of any homosexuals in Gambia, and the following year it was reported that up to 1,000 Gambians had been abducted by the government on charges of witchcraft—they were taken to prisons and forced to drink poison.
The blatant hypocrisy is clear: if whites behaved in any of these ways, Obama and the establishment would ostracize them.
However, when blacks behave in this manner, they are welcomed at the White House.
The reason for this hypocrisy was revealed by Obama himself in his opening speech:
“I stand before you as the president of the United States, a proud American. I also stand before you as the son of a man from Africa.”
